The Origin of Punchpower Labs
My name is Robert Demeter, and I am the founder of Punchpower Labs. With my background as a Personal Trainer, I've always respected the discipline of combat sports and the absolute need for reliable equipment.
Getting this brand off the ground was a brutal reality check. A year ago, constant supplier issues, completely ruined bulk inventory, and unexpected customs taxes on replacement orders almost bankrupted the business. There were plenty of times when it would have been easier to just quit, but I refused to give up because Muay Thai taught me to take a punch and get back up.
Today, Punchpower Labs gear isn’t mass-produced on a machine assembly line. Our gloves are handmade by genuine leather artisans in small, highly limited drops. It is the only way I can personally guarantee the quality is exactly where it needs to be.
The Vision: Bridging NZ and Thailand
We are a proudly Kiwi-owned brand, but our ultimate goal is to build a permanent bridge between the New Zealand combat sports community and the motherland of the sport: Thailand.
The fight game is grueling, and financial barriers often stop incredibly talented athletes from reaching the next level. Our long-term mission is to use Punchpower Labs to sponsor less fortunate, hard-working fighters from New Zealand. We want to provide them with the funding to travel to Thailand, train at elite camps, and fight on the world stage under our Kiwi banner.
